Van Wilder - Warriors

Leeds native bass lord Livsey has been terrorising UK raves for years with releases on UKF, CRUCAST & Kiwi Records - and with his new project Van Wilder the producer has put his energy and focus into his first love: dubstep.

Connecting with the UK sound that inspired him to first start producing, but taking it to new unchartered territories, with Warriors EP Van Wilder is issuing a war cry to the global scene - released on Virus Syndicate’s Bad Medic Records.

Slicing through a system like excalibur through a stone - title track Warriors has one setting: kill the rave. Paired with label boss man Nika D, who laces the dub with his frenetic flow, the tune is raw, rowdy and deadly.

Keep Hush sees Van Wilder maintain this insane energy, with a pushing drop that flexes the subs and punches in the mids - with percussion that slaps like a dismissive back hand to the chops.

Deep cut Run & Strike brings breakbeat energy and pure 140 dubstep sonics, before the euphoric collab with fellow Leeds lad Sketchi, Fool Me closes proceedings - with its epic wubs a throw back to the classic sound that defined the late 2000s.

With Warriors, Van Wilder isn’t just ready to fight a battle - he’s weaponising for war. We advise you Keep Hush and back down.
